Scott Mingus, author of "Flames Beyond Gettysburg: The Confederate Expedition to the Susquehanna River, June 1863."

Gerry's Opening Monologue -
"This is Gerry Prokopowicz, with Civil War Talk Radio,...

...today on Civil War Talk Radio, we look at the Battle of Gettysburg, July 1863. Again? Gettysburg, Again? How many times can we go back to Little Round Top and Devils Den? It turns out, at least one more. Just as Lee's Rebel army went into Gettysburg more than once, not just on that famous July 1st, but also in the days before the battles. That's what we will look at today as the panicked Pennsylvanian countryside responded to the Confederate invasion of Pennsylvania in July 1863 before the Army of the Potomac arrived. We will be talking with author, Scott L. Mingus, Sr., about his book 'Flames Beyond Gettysburg: The Confederate Expedition to the Susquehanna River, June 1863,' today on Civil War Talk Radio."
