John Marszalek, Director of U.S. Grant Papers, biographer of Sherman & Halleck joins Gerry to update us on the status of the Grant Papers and other projects.

"This is Gerry Prokopowicz, with Civil War Talk Radio,...

"...Ulysses S. Grant left Illinois to fight in the Civil War. Among his most famous campaigns was that at Vicksburg, Mississippi which he eventually conquered. He did not return to Illinois, but became instead President. 100 years later, his papers did however, to Southern Illinois University. Yet today, they to have found their way to the State of Mississippi; to Mississippi State University in Starkville. How did they get there? What are they doing there? We'll talk today with the executive director of "The Papers of U.S. Grant", He is John Marszalek and he'll be our guest today on Civil War Talk Radio."
